A Berry Banana Yogurt Smoothie is a delicious and refreshing way to drink your daily fruit intake. It is loaded with bananas, strawberries, raspberries, and blueberries. You can also give it an extra boost of vitamins and antioxidants by adding a couple of tablespoons of ground flaxseed and fresh parsley. This is a really healthy breakfast for someone who is busy and on-the-go like me.
I have always been a fan of smoothies and can’t resist breaking out the blender whenever I have fresh berries available. This is my absolute favorite medley of smoothie flavors. These are also one of the best methods to use when tricking my picky 3 year old into eating her fruit. I just call it a milkshake and add a dollop of whipped cream on top and she thinks it is a yummy treat.
My husband and I took our 2 girls to the pool today and we were pretty worn out once we got home. Now I know why I haven’t been frequenting the pool this summer. Trying to chase around a one year old who is taking other toddlers’ toys and hugging every little boy who passes by is exhausting! Okay, it was actually pretty freaking cute. I think her dad is pretty nervous about the flirtatious personality developing. When we got back home, I wanted to make a healthy snack that was invigorating and refreshing. I must say, this really hit the spot for all of us!
